As the architect for Twin District Volunteer Fire Company, Scheid Architectural was charged with the challenging design and construction management of the Fire Company's major renovation and expansion of their existing facility.
Due to the Fire Company's growing district, there was a need to increase the existing 2 bay apparatus room to 4 bays, as well as a need to expand and reorganize the remainder of the existing facility. The total project resulted in the successful expansion of the apparatus room, new training facilties, including new recreation and fitness rooms, and a complete exterior facade renovation.
Working closely with the Twin District Volunteer Fire Company and the Design Build contractor allowed construction of the project to take place while the Fire Company maintained full operation and service to the community. |
